Sujata Ramchandra Madke, a resident of Shirgaon village in the Shahapur taluka of Thane district, Maharashtra, is the daughter of Ramchandra Madke (a retired Zilla Parishad clerk and farmer) and Savita Madke (a homemaker). Highly qualified, she holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, and initially worked as a research engineer at IIT Kharagpur. She then cleared the MPSC exam to secure a stable government job as an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) at the Thane RTO. However, keeping her childhood dream alive, she balanced her day job at the RTO with 8 to 12 hours of rigorous nightly study sessions to crack the central space exams, successfully transitioning into a Gazetted Scientist at ISRO, Bengaluru.
