L. Eshwar Rao from Gopinathpur in Jatni, Khurda district, Odisha, is a remarkable example of how a passion for art can define a life of purpose. Rao began practicing miniature artwork as early as Class 2, and at age 12, he gifted a hand-carved miniature Taj Mahal to his teacher—an act that would change his life. His teacher was so impressed that he personally introduced Rao to the then-principal of B.K. The College of Arts in Bhubaneswar recognised and nurtured his talent. Rao went on to receive four years of formal training in stone carving.
An Art Teacher can become an entrepreneur by establishing art academies, creative studios, online learning platforms, or handicraft businesses. They can conduct workshops in painting, digital art, sculpture, animation, and craft design for students and professionals. Many art educators also sell artworks and design products, educational materials, and customised creative services through exhibitions and digital platforms. With expertise in creativity and teaching, they can build successful ventures in art education, design, and creative industries.
