Priti Patkar, is the co-founder and Executive Secretary of the NGO, Prerana, working to end intergenerational trafficking and protect rights of children. Priti is a graduate from the School of Social Work at Nirmala Niketan, College of Social Work. She stood first in her specialisation in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 1986. In 1989, she received the Ashoka Fellowship from the Ashoka Foundation USA. She is also the recipient of the Nari Shakti Puraskar, awarded by the President of India.
