Priya Mohanty, hailing from a modest background, pursued her Diploma in Medical Radiography Technology in Bhubaneswar after completing her 12th-grade science studies. She trained at MKCG Medical College in 2016, gaining expertise in X-ray, CT operations, and safety protocols. Beginning her career in 2017 as a junior technician in Cuttack, she rose to a senior role by 2020. She was honoured with the Best Paramedic Support Staff award in 2022; she has also mentored more than 30 junior technicians.
