Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty
Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, born in Odisha, built an outstanding career in nuclear physics through strong academic foundations and disciplined research training. After earning his physics degrees from MPC College, Baripada and Ravenshaw College, Cuttack, he joined BARC in 1983 after the 26th Batch of the BARC Training School and later earned his doctorate from Mumbai University. He now serves as Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, and Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission.
