Dr. Prafulla Kumar Jena was a pioneering metallurgist from Odisha, known for his extensive research in sustainable resource management and extractive metallurgy. He was born in Taliha, Jajpur district, and obtained his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Utkal University. Subsequently, he pursued an M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
