Prachi Deshpande
Prachi Deshpande is an Indian historian and Associate Professor in History at the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Kolkata. She did her graduation from Fergusson College and post-graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. She completed her PhD from the US. After working in the US for a few years, she returned to India to join the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Kolkata. She has written books specialising in the history of Western India. She received the Infosys award in 2020 for her work.
