Sameer Panda: NASA awards Odia engineer for innovation in tyre technology
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has felicitated Sameer Panda, an Odia engineer of Odisha, for his project on a new tyre technology. Panda announced this to the media in an e-mail. Panda’s project showed how the longevity of a tyre can be increased and accidents can be avoided by adopting the different manufacturing technology to lessen frictional pressure on the tyre. A resident of Sambalpur town, Panda will return home from the USA. After completion of his study in manufacturing engineering from VSSUT, Panda is presently working at Tata Motors. Besides, he is pursuing his PhD at VSSUT.
