Dr. Souvik Das completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from RCC Institute of Information Technology, West Bengal, between 2010 and 2014. He pursued his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at IIT Kharagpur from 2015 to 2023. During 2023–2024, Dr. Das served as a Visiting Scholar at Purdue University. From 2021 to 2023, he held the position of Principal Research Scientist at the Centre for Excellence in Safety Engineering and Analytics, IIT Kharagpur. His research interests include Human Factors, Safety Engineering, Risk Assessment, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Eye Movement Analysis, and Fuzzy Logic. Dr. Das has published extensively in prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Elsevier, and Wiley, and is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
