Auxiliary Nurse Midwives can establish small maternal and child healthcare clinics, vaccination centres, or community health counselling services. With experience, they can also work with NGOs, rural health missions, and maternal health programmes. Some ANMs later pursue higher nursing education and open community healthcare centres focusing on maternal care, nutrition counselling, and preventive health services.
